Originally designed as a training tool for cross-country skiers, the SkiErg has been embraced by the fitness community for its ability to work legs, core and arms in a smooth, continuous motion. With the same flywheel and Performance Monitor as our RowErg, the SkiErg offers a unique workout that will build your strength and endurance. The SkiErg is suitable for athletes at all levels and is easily adapted to those with lower body injuries. PM5, Smartphone Cradle and Handle Hooks included.

Your New Favorite Workout

The motion of skiing is unique, offering significant upper body and core exercise while also engaging the lower body. As well as giving you a great workout, the SkiErg works the glutes, hamstrings, triceps, lats and shoulders in a way that other cardio workouts can’t.

“The SkiErg is an essential tool for my training and a great way to follow my development over time. My favorite workout is an hour of continuous work where every five minutes starts with 15 seconds of maximum effort. On the monitor I mainly keep an eye on the watts and aim to get a number as high as possible.”

Moa Ilar, Swedish National Cross-Country Ski Team

Powerful Performance Monitor

Whatever your goal, the PM5 is your loyal training partner, allowing you to track your progress with time, distance, pace, Calories and watts. Standard on every SkiErg, the monitor self-calibrates, allowing you to compare each pull, interval and workout, while the Concept2 Online Logbook allows you to easily store all your times, as well as compare yourself against other skiers worldwide in our world rankings.

This well-built machine is designed to build your muscles and cardiovascular capacity. Manufactured with athletes in mind, the Concept2 SkiErg has an intuitive design, easy-to-use monitor, and small footprint that make it a sound investment for people all across the fitness spectrum.

Track Your Progress with ErgData

ErgData is our free app for iOS and Android devices that connects to the Performance Monitor. You can choose to erg together with other members of the community on the Real Time Loop, our virtual course that is always open. You can set up workouts straight from ErgData and store them as favorites; take part in the Concept2 Workout of the Day; view additional live information during workouts; track and analyze your progress and more.

Adaptable for All

The SkiErg provides a low impact exercise that is easy on the knees and ankles. It easily accommodates athletes with lower leg injuries: injured athletes can sit or kneel, while training at normal intensity and duration using just the upper body and core. It’s a great training tool for adaptive athletes, too, and we offer an extra wide floor stand to suit most wheelchair users.

Durable and Low Maintenance

Our machines are famous for their construction quality. Built to withstand rigorous use in gyms and homes around the world, we also make sure our machines are easy to care for so you can focus on using your investment, not maintaining it.

Fits Anywhere

The SkiErg can be wall-mounted giving it a very small footprint or you can add the floor stand (sold separately) with caster wheels for maximum movability. The floor stand is available in two widths, making it suitable for all users.

A History of Excellence

Although Concept2 is best known as a rowing company, quite a few members of the Concept2 family are skiers. Here in northern Vermont, the lakes are frozen for at least half the year, and there’s plenty of snow during the winter. Skiing and rowing are two of the most aerobically demanding sports and serve as effective cross-training in opposite seasons. We first started playing with the idea of a SkiErg in 1982, using parts from our Model A Indoor Rower. After years of tinkering, testing and training, we introduced the SkiErg in 2009, and then in 2014, our second generation and current design, was born.
