Concept2 had a tremendously successful 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Our oars and sculls were used by 96.5% of the rowers, and 97.6% of rowing medals were won with Concept2 equipment.
“I love using Concept2 oars. Nothing compares to the feeling of connection at the front of the stroke and ease at the back. Nothing I have used has given the same feeling of fluidity and connection. Their friendly team are always available whenever I need them when I am racing all over the world and they have been loyal partners throughout my career.”
Emma Twigg, gold and silver medalist, Tokyo and Paris, W1X
Since 1976, all our oars and sculls have been custom assembled using handmade components right here in our Vermont factory. Learn what goes into building and testing a Concept2 oar.
Concept2 travels to several regattas each year to provide repairs and maintenance for oars and sculls. This service is provided free for all customers of Concept2 products and is just one way we help support our customers long after the sale.
The first blades were based on the traditional wood “Macon” oar blades of the day. Our innovation was to produce the blades with composite materials reducing weight and adding durability.
